As a result, even if you upgrade every single structure available, your army won’t advance unless they have successfully survived enough battles to get to the next level. Also, due to this system, you won’t get high-level troops at first. So everyone starts as a low-level greenhorn and then raises the ranks.
Exploration
Your heroes will explore the map looking for resources and treasures in four forms magical mana and gold mines. But know that you won’t be able to get the resources by just walking over them.
You will have to transform the land underneath the resource. Know that you can do that by conquering all the lands surrounding it or by just hiring a unit to make a road nearby. So you will have to work for the resources.
Monsters
Generally many try to avoid the monsters that guard the treasures and the roads. However, here you will have to go after each one for experience points. This is because the units whose levels have upgrades become very powerful. And this will give you an upper hand over your enemies.
Visuals
The game has a tonne of gorgeous hand-painted art. You will find that the menu screens are full of beautiful depictions of legendary warriors and deities. This helps create a more immersive experience. Also, this art sets it apart from other games.
Overall, Disciples Sacred Lands Gold is a good game. Even though it follows a formula seen in the Heroes video games, to its credit it makes multiple major changes to that formula to spice it up.
